XJ flotation machine

XJ (also known as A type or XJK type) Flotation Machine
This machine was introduced from the Soviet Union in the 1950s. It is an older type. Although improvements have been made, its basic structure has remained unchanged, and it has long been standardized and serialized. Due to historical reasons, this flotation machine has been the most widely used in China. In recent years, although it has been replaced by some newer flotation machines in certain applications, it is still extensively used.
(1) Structure and Working Principle
The basic structure of the XJ type flotation machine is shown in Figure 12-1. It consists of two flotation cells forming a unit. The first cell (equipped with a feed pipe) is a suction cell, and the second cell is a direct-flow cell, with an intermediate chamber between them. The impeller is installed at the lower end of the main shaft, and a pulley is mounted at the upper end of the main shaft, driven by an electric motor for rotation. Air is drawn in through an air intake pipe. The slurry level in each group of flotation cells is adjusted by a gate valve. Above the impeller, there are a cover plate and an air cylinder (also known as a standpipe). The air cylinder is provided with openings for installing the feed pipe, the middlings return pipe, or for slurry circulation. The size of the openings can be adjusted by a tie rod.
